The Connected Caregiver

Caregiving beyond threats, screens and bribes. A four-week series in confidence, connection and calm for the woman supporting you in raising your child.
Hong Kong relies on domestic helpers every day

For the woman supporting you in raising your child

A client recently asked me if her helper could join our neurodivergent parenting workshop. "She spends more time with my daughter than I do," she said. "Shouldn't she be there too?" That is why I created The Connected Caregiver.

While you are at work, she meets the meltdowns, sets the limits and mirrors the language. This series gives her the tools to do that with confidence and warmth, using the language of connection rather than command.

If she defaults to screens whenever your child says "I'm bored", let's give her better tools. You have read the books and saved the reels. Now we offer her real scripts, real practice and real change at home. Let's give her the support she deserves.

She keeps your child safe. Now she can engage and connect.

What we explore together

Four hands-on, one-hour sessions on Mondays 26 October, 2, 9 and 16 November, 10–11am. HK$500 per session (HK$2,000 for the series), with a grazing board provided.
Week 1: Meltdowns. Managing meltdowns without distractions or screens.
Week 2: Roots. Connection, communication and limits, without losing warmth.
‍Week 3: Wings. Confidence and independence through choice, chores, routines, involvement and autonomy. Did you know sorting laundry can build maths, language and attention skills? A simple basket of socks can be far more engaging than YouTube when you know how.
‍Week 4: Behaviour and the brain. The gut-brain connection, with practical tips on timing, nutrition and recipes.
For caregivers of neurodivergent children, the series includes specific evidence-based interventions to support children presenting with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences or ODD symptoms.
We are here to support everyone

Kind words from our community

"Lisel's presentation to our parent community was unlike anything before. Her knowledge of the pillars of wellbeing and her ability to link the importance of sleep nutrition, movement and play to support wellbeing of our preschoolers and in turn, support their behaviour was eye-opening. Backed by science, these workshops were easy to follow, interactive and thought provoking.  We look forward to an ongoing relationship."
Vickie, Kindergarden Principal
"Lisel has conducted a series of workshops for our members and VIP clients. She has an ability to simplify scientific knowledge into easy to implement strategies. Her vauable advice and warm interaction led to interactive sessions. Our clients found the sessions very useful.  I highly recommend Lisel"
Elaine, Playroom Owner
"We reached out to Lisel when my near tween's behaviour began affecting the harmony of our home. Lisel was empathic, she spent time understanding our challenges and provided us practical actions to support my helper and me navigate this challenging time. She offered us detailed notes and scripts that were easy to follow and we noticed changes in our interactions in a short period. We are very grateful and highly recommend Lisel for parent consultations to support you as parent or equally, helper coaching to empower them care for your children."
